Group Project Technology

To simulate real life experiences, students at Southeast Missouri State University

are often required to work on group or team projects. Even when not required,

students frequently work collectively. For this purpose, the following technology is

available for student group use in Dempster Hall.

SmartKapp Board

—a powerful tool for collaborative projects, online

demonstrations, and studies. Host a session in real time and share it with

other people who aren’t present and could even be in a different zip code.

SmartBoard

—connected to a personal computer and provides 64” diagonal

viewing of a touchscreen monitor, making group work much simpler.

Recording

—Professional quality recording can be created using GoPro

camera and podcast hardware. Video editing software is available as well.

Group PCs

—dedicated PCs with 32” widescreen monitors that allow all

group members to view display from every angle.

Presentation Room

—Dedicated room allowing groups to practice

presentations using technology available in classrooms.

Family Technology Room

A network family room is provided in Kent Library, room 247, for students with

children in attendance. Please see the circulation desk or Kent Library IT

Computer Lab Technician for details and reservations.
